How it works

Our PowerPack technology weakens the hydrogen bonds in the air's water molecules. What normally clumps together and settles as frost and ice remains more mobile instead. This results in three measurable consequences:

  • Faster heat transfer

The water molecules move faster and transfer heat to the evaporator significantly quicker. This can result in approximately 20% shorter cooling times, which limits bacterial growth and helps preserve the food's taste, nutrients, and shelf life.

  • Less frost and ice formation

Moisture accumulates less as ice on the evaporator, which thus stays clear for longer.

  • Fewer defrosts

Less buildup means higher airflow and longer time between defrost cycles.

Stable operation in the cold room

In a cold room, the air's moisture moves towards the coldest surfaces, where it condenses and forms frost or ice. This insulates the evaporator, restricts airflow, increases the need for defrosting, and demands even more power than cooling already does, because the compressor has to move heat out of the room.

Most kitchens have learned to live with it: A defrost here, an extra one there. It's not a solution – it's a habit. Power2Air/Cooling is placed partly within the cold room's airflow and partly outside the cold room, removing the problem at its source instead of treating the symptoms.

  • Faster temperature drop

  • Less frost and ice formation on the evaporator

  • More stable airflow over time

  • Fewer or shorter defrosts

  • Lower power consumption per cooling cycle

  • Drier surfaces and reduced risk of mold

Power2Air/Cooling

Reduces frost and ice on the evaporator and shortens cooling time in cold rooms and blast chillers.

  • Shorter cooling time
  • Fewer or shorter defrosts
  • Lower power consumption per cycle

Food safety

Faster cooling protects both the food and the operation

When prepared food is cooled down quickly, the time during which bacteria have favorable growth conditions is limited. At the same time, the short cooling time helps preserve the food's quality, nutrients, and shelf life.

  • Inhibits bacterial growth during cooling

  • Reduces the risk of food poisoning

  • Preserves food's taste and quality

  • Protects vitamins and nutrients

  • Extends shelf life and reduces food waste
